Bo Horvat made significant contributions with a goal and an assist, and Noah Dobson provided two assists, leading to a 4-2 win for the New York Islanders against the New York Rangers.
Semyon Varlamov blocked 32 shots, and the team saw goals from Mike Reilly, Kyle Palmieri, and Anders Lee, extending their series of victories to five matches.
On the Rangers' side, Chris Kreider and Adam Fox scored during power plays, although their streak of three wins was halted. Mika Zibanejad had to exit the game after an incident involving Adam Pelech, and Igor Shesterkin stopped 25 shots.
In the opening period, the Islanders were dominant, scoring thrice by the 9:26 mark. A shot from Reilly ricocheted off Ryan Lindgren to go past Shesterkin, with Horvat and Palmieri also scoring.
During the second period, the Rangers managed to score on two power-play opportunities, with goals from Kreider and Fox. Fox marked a record as the second defenseman in the team's history to achieve 60 assists in one season.
An empty-net goal by Lee in the closing moments secured the Islanders' victory.
Looking ahead, the Islanders are set to play against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, and the Rangers will go up against the Philadelphia Flyers.
