Jacob Trouba, formerly of the Rangers, has been awarded the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award for his significant contributions to hockey both on and off the field.
In his role as captain for the second year, Trouba has guided the Rangers to an unprecedented 55 victories and secured the Presidents' Trophy. His contributions are crucial, particularly in penalty kills where he ranks among the league leaders in blocking shots.
Away from the rink, Trouba is dedicated to the growth of hockey and has actively engaged in hosting youth camps and supporting charities such as the Garden of Dreams Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation. Together with his wife, he has participated in the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer campaign.
