Connor Hellebuyck's impressive performance with 43 saves, marking his season high, propelled the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-1 win against the Minnesota Wild. Alex Iafallo contributed by scoring twice, reaching his 100th career goal, and Nino Niederreiter also found the net for the Jets.
The Wild’s sole goal came from Jacob Middleton, who scored on a rebound in the first period. This game marked the end of Kirill Kaprizov's 11-game point streak, and it extended the Wild’s losing streak against the Jets to seven games.
Hellebuyck is now tied for second place in the NHL for goals-against average, whereas Filip Gustavsson registered 28 saves for the Wild.
Niederreiter's significant goal was secured after Middleton missed a breakaway opportunity, giving the Jets a chance to capitalize.
Despite the Wild outshooting the Jets 44-32, the Jets maintained their lead for most of the match.
The Jets will continue their series of away games, heading to Los Angeles on Wednesday, while the Wild are set to play against Buffalo.
