Having played for Arizona State, Doan was selected 37th in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Coyotes.
His father, Shane Doan, is a veteran of the NHL, having spent 20 out of his 21 seasons with Phoenix/Arizona, and holds the record for most goals, assists, points, and games played for the team.
