Ottawa Senators News & Updates

In Ottawa, Josh Norris secured the Senators' 8-7 win in overtime against the Kings with his second goal, just 56 seconds into the extra period.

Norris, along with Zack MacEwen, Jake Sanderson, Drake Batherson, Thomas Chabot, and Claude Giroux, scored goals for Ottawa. Anton Forsberg and Mads Sogaard shared the goaltending duties, conceding seven goals from 26 shots.

For Los Angeles, Kevin Fiala and Alex Laferriere each found the net twice, with Trevor Lewis, Adrian Kempe, and Tanner Jeannot also scoring. Darcy Kuemper stopped 33 shots.

Halfway through the third period, Norris gave Ottawa their first lead, but Jeannot leveled the score with 5:34 left.

Ottawa is known for both scoring and allowing six goals in a game, whereas the Kings haven't suffered a regulation loss against the Senators since January 2019.

MacEwen's first goal in the second period ignited the Senators' comeback. Although the Kings maintained a perfect penalty kill statistic, they allowed three power-play goals.

The Senators are set to welcome the Devils on Thursday, while the Kings will play the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Wednesday.
