Joshua Roy of Canadiens Sidelined Indefinitely Due to Injury Sustained in Game Against Oilers

In a recent match against the Edmonton Oilers, Joshua Roy, a novice forward for the Montreal Canadiens, experienced an injury. During the third period, he was struck in the right hand by a puck, which led to his early exit from the game.

Following the incident, Roy was transported back to Montreal to undergo further medical examinations, including an X-ray, though the findings from these examinations remain unclear.

At 20 years old, Roy has made noteworthy contributions to the Canadiens this season, tallying four goals and five assists over 23 matchups. Before joining the ranks of the NHL, he accrued 32 points, including 13 goals and 19 assists, across 40 games with the Laval Rocket in the AHL.

The Canadiens selected Roy during the fifth round of the 2021 draft.
