Vancouver Canucks News & Updates

In a thrilling match on Sunday, Dakota Joshua led the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks by netting two goals.

The match saw the Canucks take an early lead with a goal from Brock Boeser during a power-play, thanks to an assist from J.T. Miller. However, the Ducks managed to level the score in the third period, courtesy of Olen Zellweger and Mason McTavish.

Goalkeeper Arturs Silovs of Vancouver saved 20 shots in his first appearance since March 6, while Anaheim’s Lukas Dostal made 27 saves out of 30 shots faced.

The win keeps Vancouver at the top of the Pacific Division, with the Ducks experiencing their fifth consecutive loss. J.T. Miller highlighted the importance of concentrating on current games over playoff prospects.

As the game approached its end, Conor Garland provided an assist to Joshua for the decisive goal with 2:13 left on the clock. The Ducks' coach, Greg Cronin, pointed out the team's missed opportunities during a power play and defensive errors as key issues.

The Canucks succeeded in 2 out of 4 power plays, in contrast to the Ducks who did not capitalize on any of their four power-play chances. Following this game, the Canucks will play against the Golden Knights on Tuesday, and the Ducks are set to compete with the Flames.
