Josi and Novak Spearhead Predators in 6-4 Victory Over Blue Jackets

Roman Josi contributed with four points from two goals and two assists, joined by Tommy Novak with two goals and an assist, alongside Cody Glass and Filip Forsberg who also found the net in the Nashville Predators’ 6-4 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Juuse Saros was credited with 31 saves, and both Gustav Nyquist and Luke Evangelista delivered two assists each.

The Blue Jackets' scoring effort was led by Trey Fix-Wolansky with two goals, James Malatesta, Alexandre Texier, and Justin Danforth who provided three assists. In goal, Jet Greaves also stopped 31 shots.

The scoring opened with a goal from Malatesta, but Nashville quickly responded with four consecutive goals, including a pair from Novak. A goal from Josi in the first period was among the two goals scored during a power-play by the Predators. Forsberg's goal during a power play in the second period expanded their lead to 5-2.

Josi later matched his personal best with his twenty-third goal of the season in the second period. When Saros stepped out temporarily due to a problem with his gear, Kevin Lankinen stepped in and saved two attempts.

In the third period, Fix-Wolansky scored twice, contributing to the Predators securing three victories in their last four outings.

Looking ahead, the Predators are set to face off against Pittsburgh, while the Blue Jackets will welcome Carolina for their next game.
