Various Nashville team members have been in excellent form throughout their ongoing streak of points accumulation. In the latest matchup, Roman Josi was once again at the forefront.
Nashville's coach Andrew Brunette praised Josi, recognizing him as the top defenseman globally, capable of dominating games.
In a pivotal turn during the game against the Seattle Kraken, Josi netted two goals within the first ten minutes of the third period, ensuring a 4-1 win for his team.
This victory contributed to the Predators matching their franchise's second-highest points streak, reaching 14 games, a feat only surpassed by a 15-game streak during the 2017-18 season.
Josi expressed that while maintaining the points streak is impressive, the team's enjoyment comes from their style of play.
The game saw Tommy Novak opening the scoring for Nashville in the first period, and Filip Forsberg later finalized the score with an empty-net goal.
The Seattle Kraken faced their fourth consecutive home game loss, complicating their pursuit of a wild-card position. Andre Burakovsky was the sole scorer for the Kraken.
Although Nashville's goalie Juuse Saros had a challenging start, the team's defense adeptly minimized Seattle's opportunities to score.
Saros finished the game with 22 saves, and Seattle's goalie Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves.
Looking ahead, the Predators are set to play against San Jose on Tuesday, whereas the Kraken will go up against Buffalo on Monday.
