Kaprizov Returns from Mouth Injury in Wild's 5-1 Defeat to Kings

In a game on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings, Kirill Kaprizov, a winger for the Wild, sustained a mouth injury when he was hit in the face by a puck. Kaprizov exited the game during the second period but made a return in the third period after having stitches administered.

Kaprizov currently shares the lead for the most points in the NHL, with a total of 21, highlighting his importance to Minnesota. Despite being absent for 12 minutes of the second period because of his injury, he came back to play in the third period.

Following the game, which ended with a 5-1 defeat to the Kings, John Hynes, the coach of the Wild, verified the injury and mentioned that Kaprizov needed stitches.

Even with the injury, Kaprizov is at the top for points per game in the NHL among players who have participated in more than one game. This season, he has recorded seven goals and 14 assists over 11 games, establishing his status as a crucial player for the Minnesota Wild.
