Kraken Snap 8-Game Losing Streak with 4-0 Shutout Victory Over Ducks

In a performance that put an end to their eight-game slide, Seattle Kraken saw Eeli Tolvanan and Matty Beniers each adding a goal and an assist in a commanding 4-0 win against the Anaheim Ducks. The match took place on a Tuesday evening.

Joining Tolvanan and Beniers in scoring were Jordan Eberle and Oliver Bjorkstrand, contributing to Seattle's victory. Eberle marked his 17th goal of the campaign, while the goalie Daccord achieved a notable accomplishment by securing his third career shutout with the Kraken through 12 saves.

The Ducks, having no chances left for the playoffs, faced another setback marking their ninth loss in their last ten outings. Their goaltender, John Gibson, managed to save 32 shots despite the defeat.

The scoring was initiated by Tolvanan in the early stages of the game, with Beniers setting him up for a close-range effort that he skillfully slipped past Gibson. Eberle later added to the tally with a goal during a power-play situation, benefiting from a deflected attempt stopped by Gibson. Bjorkstrand contributed with another goal during the power-play, and Beniers cemented the win with a score, following an assist from Tolvanan.

Since joining forces on the top line in mid-March, the trio of Beniers, Tolvanan, and Bjorkstrand has been delivering consistently strong performances for Seattle.

The team's coach, Dave Hakstol, lauded the players for their exceptional game, highlighting it as a significant improvement from their recent loss against Montreal. Conversely, Anaheim's coach, Greg Cronin, expressed strong dissatisfaction with his team's lack of effort.

The rematch between the two teams is scheduled for Thursday night, with another face-off in Seattle.
