After being down 2-0, the Seattle Kraken made a comeback by netting four goals in the second period, leading to a 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Brandon Tanev and Eeli Tolvanen scored just 10 seconds apart to put Seattle ahead, with further goals added by Tye Kartye and Will Borgen. Jared McCann secured the victory with an empty-net goal, while Joey Daccord made 38 saves.
Columbus had initially gained the upper hand with quick goals from Sean Kuraly and Zachary Aston-Reese late in the first period. Despite Elvis Merzlikins making 28 saves, the Blue Jackets recorded their sixth consecutive loss.
Seattle's triumph came after a series of goals from players who had not been significantly contributing earlier, including Borgen's first of the season and Kartye's second. Columbus excelled in the opening period but faltered in the second, registering only eight shots.
A pivotal moment was Kartye's backhand goal early in the second period, which ignited Seattle's resurgence.
The Kraken's performance against Columbus has been strong, with an improved record of 5-0-2 all-time against them.
Looking forward, Columbus will play Pittsburgh on Friday, and Seattle will challenge Chicago on Thursday.
