Jordan Kyrou netted two goals and Dylan Holloway added both a goal and an assist, helping the St. Louis Blues secure a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
Robert Thomas contributed with an empty-net goal for the Blues, extending their streak of earning points to four consecutive games.
During the second period, Kyrou and Holloway spearheaded the Blues' attack by scoring just 39 seconds apart in a four-on-four situation. Kyrou's initial goal occurred with 1:56 left in the period, followed by Holloway's eighth goal of the season at 1:17 remaining.
In the third period, Kyrou further increased the lead to 3-0 with a goal at 6:38, this time receiving an assist from Holloway.
Holloway's performance enhanced his point streak to four games, thanks to his goal and assist.
Blues goalie Joel Hofer made 22 saves during the game, while Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 28 out of 31 shots. Mark Scheifele was the only Jet to score, with the team enduring a four-game losing streak.
The efforts of Kyrou and Holloway were pivotal for the Blues, with Kyrou putting up seven shots and Holloway lengthening his point streak.
Offensive struggles plagued the Jets, who managed to win merely 36.2% of faceoffs and had 14 of their shots blocked by the Blues.
A crucial moment materialized in the second period when Kyrou and Holloway scored in quick succession, compounding the difficulties faced by the Jets.
