Jordan Kyrou netted two goals, while Robert Thomas added a goal and an assist, leading the St. Louis Blues to a victory over the Chicago Blackhawks with a score of 5-2 on a Wednesday evening.

Zack Bolduc and Torey Krug also found the back of the net, and Brayden Schenn set up two goals. In goal, Joel Hofer stopped 18 shots, helping the Blues to enhance their home game dominance over the Blackhawks with an 8-1-1 record in their recent 10 encounters.

The Blues kept their playoff ambitions alive, narrowing the gap to three points from the final playoff position in the Western Conference, thanks to a defeat of Vegas by Edmonton.

Kyrou's impressive performance featured two quick goals within 42 seconds, maintaining his scoring spree over four games, with a tally of 15 points in his recent 10 appearances. His second goal also highlighted Pavel Buchnevich's milestone of 400 career points.

A goal from Krug at 4:37 led to Petr Mrazek being pulled from the game, and shortly after, Bolduc scored on Soderblom, pushing the Blues ahead to a solid 4-0 lead, overwhelming the Blackhawks' goaltending efforts.

Goals for Chicago came from Philipp Kurashev and Landon Slaggert, but Thomas and Slaggert's contributions further increased the Blues' tally in the final period.

After suffering an injury, Torey Krug was sidelined post the second period. Looking ahead, the Blues are set to play against Carolina on Friday night, while the Blackhawks will encounter Nashville at their home ground.
