Kyrou's Hat Trick and Saad's Overtime Goal Lead Blues to Victory

In an exciting game that extended into overtime, Jordan Kyrou was sensational, scoring three goals while Brandon Saad netted the decisive goal just over two minutes into the extra frame, propelling the St. Louis Blues to a narrow 5-4 win against the Minnesota Wild.

Jake Neighbours made a notable offensive contribution for the Blues, with Pavel Buchnevich setting up three goals. Goalkeeper Jordan Binnington was pivotal, making 30 saves to clinch the victory.

For the Wild, Marco Rossi managed to score twice, with Marcus Johansson and Brock Faber also finding the back of the net. Their goalkeeper, Marc-Andre Fleury, made 22 saves.

Both teams are still vying for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference, with St. Louis now on a two-game winning streak.

In the overtime drama, Rossi was close to scoring his third goal, but Binnington blocked him. Following this, Saad capitalized on a defensive error to score against Fleury with a wrist shot.

Despite being down 3-2 at the start of the third period, Kyrou leveled the scores and later put the Blues ahead with his two successive goals.

With just over five minutes left in regulation time, Faber scored, extending the game into overtime.

Rossi opened the scoring for the Wild, with Kyrou equalizing through a deflection later in the second period. Rossi then put Minnesota back in front, only for Kyrou's hat trick to swing the lead back in favor of the Blues.

Nick Leddy, playing for the Blues, marked his 1,000th career game in his native Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Looking ahead, the Blues are set to host Vegas on Monday, while the Wild will play San Jose at home on Thursday.
