Leon Draisaitl's goal in overtime clinched the Edmonton Oilers' inaugural victory of the season, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3.

Connor McDavid provided an assist on Draisaitl's winning goal, maintaining his point streak against the Flyers, which now stands at 11 consecutive games.

Adam Henrique, Connor Brown, and Evan Bouchard contributed with goals for the Oilers, helping to end their 3-game losing skid.

For the Flyers, goals came from Matvei Michkov and Bobby Brink.

Goalkeepers Stuart Skinner and Samuel Ersson made 27 and 29 saves, respectively, during the match.

Despite missing a practice session on Monday, Joel Farabee participated in the game, continuing his Ironman streak to 175 consecutive games.

McDavid's average of 2.31 points per game against the Flyers represents the highest ongoing rate in the NHL.

Draisaitl assisted Bouchard's goal that brought the game to a 3-3 tie in the third period.

The Oilers have only begun a season with a 0-4 record twice in their 44-year history, with the next challenge being against the Nashville Predators on Thursday.
