In a captivating Week 1 game at Empower Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos emerged victorious over the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 21-13. The Broncos held a 14-6 lead by halftime, boosted by two touchdown throws from quarterback Russell Wilson, who ended the game with 184 passing yards and two touchdowns.

During the third quarter, the Panthers narrowed the gap with a touchdown run from Christian McCaffrey, but the Broncos defense remained resilient in the fourth quarter to ensure their win. Broncos running back Javonte Williams contributed with 75 rushing yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Jerry Jeudy made seven catches for a total of 102 yards.

On the Panthers' side, quarterback Baker Mayfield managed 207 passing yards and one touchdown, though he also threw two interceptions. Wide receiver DJ Moore recorded six catches for 64 yards, and McCaffrey gained 95 yards from scrimmage.
