St. Louis Blues News & Updates

Following their loss in the first game against the Giants, the Dodgers rebounded with a 5-2 win in the second matchup of the four-game series in San Francisco. Tony Gonsolin, the starting pitcher, delivered five innings without allowing a run, conceding just two hits and striking out six hitters.

Offensively, the Dodgers were powered by Max Muncy, who delivered a two-run double in the fifth inning. Contributions also came from Gavin Lux and Mookie Betts with RBI singles.

The Giants launched a late-game comeback by scoring two runs in the sixth inning against reliever Phil Bickford. Nonetheless, the Dodgers' bullpen maintained their lead, with Blake Treinen and Craig Kimbrel combining for four shutout innings, securing the victory.

This win raised the Dodgers' record to 45-35 for the season, while the Giants dropped to 43-37. The two teams are set to face off again in San Francisco on Wednesday for the series' third game.
