Defenseman J.J. Moser of the Tampa Bay Lightning has agreed to a two-year contract worth $6.75 million, thus avoiding arbitration.
The Lightning recently added Moser and Conor Geekie to their roster from Utah in a trade that sent Mikhail Sergachev the other way.
Moser, who is 24 years old, spent three seasons playing for the Arizona Coyotes, where he tallied 72 points and had a minus-27 rating over 205 games.
Last season, Moser recorded five goals and 21 assists in 80 games. Additionally, he reached career highs with 99 hits and 21 takeaways.
