Colorado Avalanche News & Updates

Colorado Avalanche's Logan O'Connor is set for hip surgery this week and will not play again this season, as stated by coach Jared Bednar. O'Connor, who has been sidelined for six games this year due to the injury, managed to score 13 goals and assist 12 times over 57 games.

Coach Bednar mentioned that it's unclear when O'Connor will be back or whether he'll be fit for the next season's training camp. In light of O'Connor's absence, the Avalanche has bolstered their lineup by bringing in Sean Walker, Casey Mittelstadt, Brandon Duhaime, and Yakov Trenin through trades at the deadline.

Zach Parise is being considered day-to-day because of an unspecified injury. Additionally, the team is contending with sickness amongst several players, including Artturi Lehkonen, Ross Colton, and Jack Johnson. Bednar also revealed that the team's captain, Gabriel Landeskog, is contemplating a comeback during the playoffs, although a return before that period is ruled out.
