The Toronto Maple Leafs have resolved their stalemate with forward Nick Robertson by signing him to a one-year contract valued at $875,000 on Tuesday.
After requesting a trade in June due to irregular playtime, Robertson achieved career highs last season with 27 points and appeared in 56 games.
Despite receiving trade requests, Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is said to have opposed trading the winger.
At 23 years old, Robertson was selected in the second round of the 2019 NHL draft and has recorded 34 points over 87 career games.
