The Boston Bruins increased their winning streak to six by overcoming the Buffalo Sabres with a 3-2 victory in overtime. Jake DeBrusk netted the decisive goal during the additional time. His linemates Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak each contributed with a goal and an assist. Patrice Bergeron provided two assists to the team's effort.
Kyle Okposo gave the Sabres an early lead with a power-play goal in the opening period. The Bruins answered back in the second period, with Marchand and Pastrnak both scoring. As the third period was coming to an end, Rasmus Ristolainen equalized the score for Buffalo, leading to an intense overtime session.
Jeremy Swayman saved 30 shots for the Bruins, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 41 for the Sabres. Both goaltenders were crucial in the overtime period, but DeBrusk's goal ultimately secured Boston's win.
