The Golden State Warriors went head-to-head against the Cleveland Cavaliers in a much-awaited NBA Finals showdown. The game was intense and competitive, with both teams trading leads throughout the initial three quarters. However, the Warriors began to dominate in the fourth quarter and secured a 110-100 win.
Stephen Curry was the top scorer for the Warriors, contributing 32 points. Klay Thompson supported with an additional 26 points, while Draymond Green made a significant impact with a double-double, tallying 12 points along with 10 rebounds. On the Cavaliers' side, LeBron James led his team with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kevin Love chipped in with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
The Warriors' defensive efforts were pivotal to their success. They limited the Cavaliers to a mere 40% shooting percentage from the field and forced them into committing 15 turnovers. The Cavaliers also had difficulty with their three-point shooting, converting only 8 of their 29 attempts.
Following this win, the Warriors take a 2-1 advantage in the NBA Finals series. The competition now moves to Cleveland for Game 4, set for Friday.
