Martin Necas played a crucial role in the Carolina Hurricanes’ 4-1 win against the St. Louis Blues by scoring two goals and contributing two assists.
Andrei Svechnikov and Eric Robinson also found the net for the Hurricanes, who have now won two consecutive games following their recent road trip. Robinson further assisted in goals, and Pyotr Kochetkov achieved 29 saves.
Jake Neighbours was the first to score for the Blues, but they eventually suffered their fifth defeat in the last six games.
Necas has accumulated points in each of his last 13 games, beginning from October 19th.
Despite starting strong, the Blues found it difficult to keep up the pace and only took eight shots in the third period.
The Hurricanes have improved their home game standing to 7-1-0, holding the highest number of wins in the Eastern Conference with a total of 13 victories.
Eric Robinson’s goal just 17 seconds into the second period marked a critical point, handing the Hurricanes the lead for the second game in a row.
Necas is the first player from Carolina to reach 10 goals this season and is already more than halfway to matching his 53-point tally from last year.
The Blues are set to play against Minnesota at home on Tuesday, while the Hurricanes will start a three-game road trip traveling to Philadelphia on Wednesday.
