The Toronto Maple Leafs have renewed their agreement with goalie Matt Murray for a one-year contract valued at $875,000.
At 30 years old, Murray did not play last season because he underwent hip surgery, and his previous contract with Ottawa had concluded.
During the 2022-23 season with Toronto, he participated in 26 matches and achieved a record of 14 wins, 8 losses, and 2 ties, along with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage.
Murray, who has won the Stanley Cup twice with Pittsburgh, holds a career record of 146 wins, 86 losses, and 24 ties, with a save percentage of .910 and 15 shutouts. His career includes playing for the Senators and Penguins.
Toronto obtained Murray from the Senators in July of 2022.
