Matthew Tkachuk, a forward for the Florida Panthers, is expected to be out for approximately one week because of an illness.

The team's goal is for Tkachuk to be back by October 22.

He did not play in Saturday's matchup against Buffalo and has already recorded two assists over the course of two games this season.

Before they host Minnesota on October 22, the Panthers will compete against Boston, Columbus, Vancouver, and Vegas.

Tkachuk, who has been selected as an All-Star twice and won the Stanley Cup in 2024, has amassed 581 points over 592 games with Calgary and Florida.
