Connor McDavid and Evan Bouchard delivered outstanding performances, with McDavid contributing two goals and two assists and Bouchard providing three assists, leading the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.
The Oilers dominated the game with three consecutive goals from Connor Brown, Zach Hyman, and Corey Perry. McDavid sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final seconds.
Despite efforts from the Panthers, who scored through Evan Rodrigues, Matthew Tkachuk, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson, they couldn't manage to tie the game. Stuart Skinner made 30 crucial saves for the Oilers.
McDavid's remarkable performance has placed him among the NHL elite, with 42 points in the playoffs, ranking as the fourth-highest total ever.
Although Florida had the chance to make history by winning the Cup at home, the Oilers thwarted their efforts, pushing the series to Game 6 in Edmonton.
