Mikko Rantanen's Hat Trick Powers Avalanche to 4-2 Win Against Kings

In Denver, Mikko Rantanen helped drive the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday evening.

During the third period, Rantanen scored two goals, marking his ninth career hat trick. Artturi Lehkonen also contributed a goal for the Avalanche, and Alexandar Georgiev recorded 13 saves.

Nathan MacKinnon, who provided three assists in the game, has earned at least one point in 16 of the 17 games played this season.

Adrian Kempe found the net twice for the Kings. However, Rantanen managed to tie the game with just under four minutes remaining in the second period.

Although the Avalanche faced challenges with their power play, a notable moment occurred when Logan O'Connor and MacKinnon assisted Rantanen in scoring the decisive goal during the third period.

Jared Bednar reached a milestone by coaching his 635th game with the Avalanche, establishing a new record for the franchise.

Looking ahead, the Kings will play against Detroit at home on Saturday, while the Avalanche will conclude their four-game homestand by hosting Washington on Friday.
