Montreal Canadiens Defenseman Kaiden Guhle to Sit Out Preseason After Appendix Surgery

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle is set to undergo a reassessment in a week following his appendectomy on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Guhle achieved career highs last season, recording 22 points with 6 goals and 16 assists over 70 games in his second NHL season.

Since being selected in the first round, 16th overall, by the Canadiens in 2020, Guhle has tallied 40 points, comprising 10 goals and 30 assists, along with 83 penalty minutes in 114 games.

Montreal's preseason begins on Monday at home against the Philadelphia Flyers, while the regular season starts at home on October 9th against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
