The Montreal Canadiens have secured their future by signing 20-year-old winger Juraj Slafkovsky to a long-term deal on the very first day he became eligible.
Beginning in the 2025-26 season, the eight-year contract is worth $60.8 million, giving Slafkovsky an average annual salary of $7.6 million. This places him among the top three highest-paid forwards for the Canadiens in that season.
Selected first overall in the 2022 NHL draft, Slafkovsky has accumulated 24 goals and 36 assists over 121 career games. Last season alone, he netted 20 goals and provided 30 assists in 82 games.
