The Nashville Predators have secured an eight-year contract extension with their goalie, Juuse Saros.
This deal, valued at an estimated $62 million, will impact the salary cap by around $7.74 million annually until the end of the 2032-33 season and is set to be signed on Monday.
Last season, Saros placed fifth in the Vezina Trophy voting and was instrumental in leading the Predators to the playoffs.
For the past five seasons, Saros has been among the top goaltenders in hockey. After initially playing backup to Pekka Rinne, he has become the Predators' primary goalie, leading the NHL in games played, shots faced, and saves over the past two years.
Throughout his 350 regular-season games, Saros has recorded a 2.63 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
