In the final minutes of the third period, Brady Skjei netted a power-play goal, helping the Nashville Predators come back to secure a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.
For the Predators, Filip Forsberg and Gustav Nyquist also found the back of the net, with Juuse Saros stopping 27 shots. The Blackhawks initially took a 2-0 lead with goals from Connor Bedard and Craig Smith, but Petr Mrazek conceded three goals out of the 31 shots he faced.
Skjei's goal, made from the left circle and screened, was crucial in the third period as it led Nashville to their second consecutive win after losing their first five games of the season.
The Blackhawks missed the opportunity for a bigger lead when Teuvo Teravainen's goal was ruled offside 7:45 into the second period, which would have put them ahead 3-0.
Gustav Nyquist has accumulated 25 points from 12 goals and 13 assists in 28 games against the Blackhawks, making them his top opponent in terms of scoring.
The Predators will welcome Columbus on Saturday, while the Blackhawks are set to begin a five-game road trip starting with a visit to Dallas.
