Steven Stamkos played a key role in the Nashville Predators' 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks by scoring two power-play goals. This victory improved the Predators' record to 5-10-3 and ended their three-game losing streak.
Zachary L’Heureux celebrated his first NHL goal, with additional goals from Roman Josi and Gustav Nyquist. Juuse Saros contributed by making 24 saves for Nashville.
Despite goals from Aatu Raty, Elias Pettersson, and Kiefer Sherwood, the Canucks' record dropped to 9-5-3. Former Predator Kevin Lankinen made 16 saves for Vancouver.
Nashville scored early in the first period and Vancouver has now allowed the first goal in 10 of their last 11 games.
After trailing in the second period, Nashville took back the lead with two quick goals. Stamkos netted his first goal in five games, and Josi scored just 11 seconds after Saros stopped a breakaway.
The Predators will face the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, while the Canucks will complete their six-game homestand against the New York Rangers on Tuesday.
