In an overtime victory, Jonathan Marchessault secured a 4-3 win for the Nashville Predators against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Marchessault initiated his game-winning move from the right boards during overtime, advancing to the slot and successfully placing the puck past Tarasov.
Heading into the third period, Columbus held a 2-1 lead. However, Nashville's persistence paid off as they managed to push the game into overtime, claiming victory over a Columbus team that had the advantage of more rest.
Smith found the back of the net 26 seconds into the third period, leveling the score at 2-2 and marking his first goal of the season.
Historically, Nashville's Bridgestone Arena has posed a challenge for the Blue Jackets, with their record now standing at 9-36-1-7 over 53 games played in Nashville.
Looking ahead, Columbus will begin a three-game series at home on Monday against Edmonton. Meanwhile, the Predators are set to visit Tampa Bay for a match against the Lightning, marking Steven Stamkos' first encounter with the team that drafted him in 2008.
