Nazem Kadri contributed significantly to the Calgary Flames' victory over the Arizona Coyotes with two goals in the third period and one assist, leading to a final scoreline of 6-5 on Sunday.
The Flames also saw goals from Andrei Kuzmenko, Matt Coronato, Connor Zary, and Yegor Sharangovich, marking their third win in the last four encounters. Goalkeeper Dustin Wolf secured 30 saves, continuing his performance streak in his third consecutive game.
For Arizona, Dylan Guenther was prominent with two goals, complemented by goals from Alex Kerfoot, Matias Maccelli, and Josh Doan. Connor Ingram, after making 25 saves, left the game due to an injury and was replaced by Karel Vejmelka, who saw no action against him.
This match is significant as it likely represents the Coyotes' last away match as an Arizona based team. The team is anticipated to be sold to Ryan Smith and be relocated to Salt Lake City.
The Coyotes initially took the lead with Guenther's second goal making it 4-3 late in the second period, and Doan widened the gap. However, Sharangovich soon after narrowed it by scoring for Calgary.
Since joining Calgary from Vancouver, Kuzmenko has achieved 14 goals and totalled 26 points in 29 matches.
The Coyotes will play their last game of the season at home against Edmonton on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Flames are set to face Vancouver on Tuesday and will host San Jose on Thursday.
