Jake Allen achieved his 26th career NHL shutout by making 31 saves as the New Jersey Devils triumphed over the Edmonton Oilers with a 3-0 victory on Monday night. Jesper Bratt contributed with a goal and an assist, while Stefan Noesen and Timo Meier also found the back of the net for the Devils, raising their record to 8-5-2.
Calvin Pickard recorded 13 saves for Edmonton, a team that had previously been on a two-game winning streak.
Bratt continued his impressive run, extending his point streak to nine games. Over this span, he has accumulated nine points and has tallied 12 assists this season.
Leon Draisaitl, who had amassed six points in his last two games, was unable to score any points for Edmonton in this match.
The Devils extended their lead to 2-0 during a power play late in the second period. Bratt scored following a pass from Nico Hischier.
Looking ahead, the Devils are set to host Montreal on Thursday, while Edmonton will face off against Vegas on Wednesday.
