New Jersey Devils News & Updates

Sheldon Keefe, currently serving as the head coach for the New Jersey Devils, has added Jeremy Colliton to his coaching staff.

The appointment was announced by Devils president Tom Fitzgerald on Tuesday. Colliton, who has previously served as head coach for the Chicago Blackhawks, joins a team of coaches that mostly stayed the same from last season when Travis Green was the interim coach.

The coaching staff includes returning assistants Ryan McGill, Chris Taylor, Sergei Brylin, and Dave Rogalski. Colliton arrives with the experience of leading the Vancouver Canucks’ AHL affiliate, Abbotsford, to the playoffs in both of his two seasons there.

Before this, Colliton coached the Blackhawks for parts of four seasons, during which he achieved a record of 87-92-26. He also has experience in Sweden’s second league and served as head coach for Team Canada at the 2022 Beijing Olympics after Claude Julien suffered an injury. However, Canada did not secure a medal.

Colliton was drafted by the New York Islanders in 2003 and spent six seasons within their organization, playing in 57 NHL games during that time.
