Chicago Blackhawks News & Updates

The Chicago Blackhawks have brought defenseman Artyom Levshunov back to the active roster. The 18-year-old had been sidelined due to a fracture in his right foot. During his single season at Michigan State, he scored nine goals and provided 26 assists.

While recovering from his injury, Levshunov gained valuable experience by spending time with the NHL team. Coach Luke Richardson mentioned that Levshunov's love for conversing with others is beneficial for overcoming his language barrier and increasing his comfort level.

Alec Martinez, a 37-year-old defenseman, is making progress in recovering from a right groin injury. Although Richardson is uncertain about the precise timeline for his return, there is a possibility that Martinez could join the team on their upcoming road trip.

The Chicago Blackhawks are set to embark on a five-game road trip starting Saturday.
