NHL: Buffalo Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin Fined for High-Sticking Violation

Rasmus Dahlin, a defenseman for the Buffalo Sabres, received a $5,000 fine for high sticking against Anton Lundell, who plays for the Florida Panthers.

This penalty represents the highest amount permitted under the terms of the league's collective bargaining agreement.

The incident happened with 7:02 left in the third period during the Panthers' 5-2 win on Monday in Buffalo, and Dahlin was given a minor penalty for slashing two seconds after the offense.

In Monday's game, Dahlin scored his first goal of the season in the second period. So far this season, he has contributed five assists and accumulated eight penalty minutes over 10 games.

Since being the first overall pick by the Sabres in the 2018 NHL draft, Dahlin has achieved a total of 298 points in 446 career games.
