Florida's Bill Zito, alongside Chris Drury from the New York Rangers and Tom Fitzgerald of New Jersey, have been named assistant general managers for the teams representing USA Hockey in the upcoming NHL 4 Nations Face-Off and the 2026 Olympic Games.

Chris Kelleher of Minnesota will occupy the role of director of player personnel, providing support to the team led by General Manager Bill Guerin and Assistant Executive Director John Vanbiesbrouck.

Guerin, who has participated in three Olympic Games and currently serves as the president of hockey operations for the Minnesota Wild, shared his enthusiasm about working together with the aim of securing championship victories.

Drury has previously garnered silver medals at the Olympics in 2002 and 2010, whereas Fitzgerald has a history of representing the United States at the world junior championships and world championships. Zito has been part of U.S. teams that won bronze, including at the 2018 world championships.

The United States has been seeking a gold medal in men’s hockey since their last triumph in 1980, with their most recent notable performances being silver medal finishes in 2002 and 2010, both times being bested by Canada.

After an absence since the Sochi Olympics in 2014, the NHL has agreed to allow its players to compete in the Olympics for the 2026 and 2030 Games, enabling a return to the international competition.
