Mavrik Bourque, the AHL MVP, is set to make his debut for the Dallas Stars during Game 6 of the Western Conference final against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.
Bourque is stepping in for Ty Dellandrea due to the Stars' recent offensive challenges and Bourque's notable offensive capabilities.
The 22-year-old Bourque has accumulated 77 points with the Texas Stars this season and had his first NHL appearance in April, recording two shots on goal.
Bourque expressed his anticipation, stating he is prepared to contribute towards winning the game.
Facing elimination with a 3-2 series deficit, the Stars must win to force a Game 7, which would take place on Tuesday in Dallas if necessary.
