Dallas Stars News & Updates

Evgenii Dadonov from the Dallas Stars led his team to a 7-2 win against the Boston Bruins by scoring twice, including the NHL season's first successful penalty shot. His opening goal came in the first period after he was fouled during a breakaway.

Contributing to the Stars' impressive score were Matt Duchene, Roope Hintz, Mason Marchment, Logan Stankoven, and Oskar Back. The Bruins managed to score through Charlie Coyle and David Pastrnak but failed to capitalize on their two power play opportunities.

In goal for Dallas, Jake Oettinger made 23 saves, while Boston's Jeremy Swayman blocked 31 shots. Mason Marchment continued his outstanding form by adding a goal and an assist, following up on his five-point display in the previous match.

The second period saw a crucial rebound goal by Logan Stankoven, which restored the Stars' two-goal margin. This was quickly followed by Oskar Back's impressive one-handed poke goal. The win boosted Dallas to a 7-0-0 record at home, marking their best start in franchise history.

The upcoming weekend will see the Bruins hosting the St. Louis Blues, while the Stars will head out to play against the Minnesota Wild.
