NHL: Rittich Achieves 100th Win as Kings Defeat Jets Despite Vilardi's Goal

David Rittich achieved his 100th career win by stopping 13 shots, while Anze Kopitar scored a goal and provided an assist, leading the Los Angeles Kings to a 4-1 victory over the top-ranked Winnipeg Jets.
The Kings also saw goals from Phillip Danault, Kevin Fiala, and Adrian Kempe. Gabriel Vilardi managed to score for the Jets, marking a moment against his previous team.
Connor Hellebuyck made 30 saves for the Jets, who have been struggling in their recent games. The high-scoring team surprisingly ended with just 14 shots, marking their lowest in the season.
Rittich, who served as Hellebuyck's backup with the Jets last year, executed a key pad save during Rasmus Kupari's penalty shot early in the second period.
This victory offers a significant morale boost for the Kings following their heavy defeat to San Jose. The Jets will aim to bounce back as they travel to Vegas on Friday.
The Kings are set to face off against Anaheim in the Freeway Faceoff on Friday morning.
