Dallas Stars News & Updates

The St. Louis Blues have brought on forwards Radek Faksa and Mathieu Joseph through separate future consideration deals with the Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators.

Additionally, the Blues secured a third-round draft pick for 2025 from the Senators. Joseph is on a contract with two more years remaining and an annual cap hit of $2.95 million, a move Ottawa made to free up space to retain Shane Pinto.

Faksa, originally from the Czech Republic and at 30 years of age, has spent nine seasons with the Stars who picked him in the first round in 2012. His NHL debut came in the 2015-16 season and he has since accumulated 200 points over 683 games.

Faksa's role diminished due to the rise of younger forwards like Wyatt Johnston and Logan Stankoven, resulting in his limited participation to just eight playoff games this season where he managed to score one goal.

Joseph, who has achieved a career-high of 35 points with the Senators, joins the Blues after two full seasons with Ottawa. He started his professional journey with the Tampa Bay Lightning, who drafted him in 2015.
