Nick Cousins, the forward, is set to return to the Florida Panthers' lineup for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers.
Celebrating his 31st birthday today, Cousins is anticipated to take over Kyle Okposo's spot on the fourth line. Currently, the Panthers lead the best-of-seven series with a 3-2 advantage but have dropped the last two matches.
Cousins has been sidelined for the previous eight playoff games but has been practicing alongside Ryan Lomberg and Kevin Stenlund on the fourth line.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Cousins mentioned his eagerness to assist the team and hopes to inject some energy with his fresh legs.
In the playoffs, Cousins has contributed one assist in 11 games, while during the regular season, he recorded seven goals and eight assists over 69 games for the Panthers.
Okposo, aged 36, has managed two assists in 16 playoff games and has not marked any points in six regular-season games since joining the Panthers through a trade on March 8.
