Chicago Blackhawks News & Updates

Nick Foligno has embraced a leadership position with the Chicago Blackhawks, becoming the 35th captain of the team. Acquired from Boston in June 2023, Foligno served as an alternate captain during his inaugural year in Chicago.

After finishing at the bottom of the Central Division last season, the team is aiming for a significant improvement this year, having been very active in free agency. Foligno's wealth of experience and leadership will be essential for the youthful Blackhawks squad, which includes rising star Connor Bedard.

Approaching his 37th birthday in October, Foligno has an impressive 17-season NHL career. He has accumulated 232 goals and 330 assists across 1,155 games. Drafted by Ottawa in 2006, he has also played for Columbus, Boston, and Toronto.
