It remains unclear if William Nylander will be on the ice for the Toronto Maple Leafs in their third playoff game against the Boston Bruins, set for Wednesday.

Nylander did not participate in the first two games of the series, which is currently even at one game apiece, due to an injury that has not been disclosed.

While Coach Sheldon Keefe mentioned that there is a possibility for Nylander's return in the upcoming game, his participation is contingent on his condition leading up to the game.

Although Nylander was active in the team's morning skate on Wednesday, his extended time on the ice for additional practice cast some uncertainty over his game readiness.

The Maple Leafs stand to gain greatly from Nylander's presence in the game, given his impressive tally of 40 goals and 98 points during the regular season, alongside his history of playoff successes.

Amidst discussions about Nylander's condition, Auston Matthews was absent from the Wednesday skate, a decision Coach Keefe attributed to the need for rest, confirming Matthews' availability for Game 3.

Should Nylander be unable to play, Nick Robertson is expected to step into the top line for the Maple Leafs.
