In a strong performance, Claude Giroux and Parker Kelly propelled the Ottawa Senators to a solid 2-0 win against the Chicago Blackhawks, achieving their fourth win in a row.
With Anton Forsberg's impressive performance, making 19 saves, he secured his fifth career shutout. This victory halted the Blackhawks' streak of two wins and signaled the Senators' first win over them since 2016.
The game was marked by the Senators' early dominance, with a short-handed goal from Giroux and an eighth career goal for Kelly, despite the anticipation around Connor Bedard's game.
In spite of the Blackhawks' increased efforts during the third period, Forsberg, along with the Ottawa defense, limited them to a mere six shots on goal.
Looking ahead, the Blackhawks are set to meet the Philadelphia Flyers next, and the Senators will be up against the Winnipeg Jets in their upcoming game.
