Ottawa Senators News & Updates

Brady Tkachuk, contributing two goals and an assist, alongside Drake Batherson who netted a decisive shootout goal, propelled the Ottawa Senators to a narrow 5-4 win against the Montreal Canadiens.

Ottawa also saw goals from Shane Pinto and Thomas Chabot, further sealing their prolonged dominance over Montreal with a ninth consecutive win.

In goal, Joonas Korpisalo managed to block 21 attempts, whereas Cole Caufield managed to slip two by for Montreal.

A late surge saw Ottawa equalize the score with just 65 seconds left on the clock, after Montreal had edged ahead. Tkachuk's second goal via a power play knotted things up in the final period.

The game's initial momentum was set by Montreal through a short-handed goal from Mike Matheson. However, Tkachuk quickly evened the score with a power-play goal of his own.

This victory extended Ottawa's impressive winning streak against Montreal to nine matches.

An upper-body injury sidelined Tim Stützle, leaving Ottawa without one of their key players for the game.

Looking ahead, the Canadiens are set to visit Detroit, whereas the Senators will make their way to New York for a matchup against the Rangers.
