Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov participated in practice on Wednesday and will join the team in Edmonton for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Coach Paul Maurice will determine Barkov's availability after the team arrives in Edmonton.
Barkov exited Game 2 following a high hit by Leon Draisaitl. He missed the final 9:28 of the Panthers' 4-1 win, which put the team ahead 2-0 in the series.
At 28 years old, Barkov received the Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forward this season, an honor he also earned in the 2020-21 season.
Throughout the regular season, he amassed 80 points over 73 games and has accumulated 19 points in 19 playoff games.
